CSULB VSA’s Traditional Vietnamese Dance Team (TVDC) has been growing continually every year. From fan, hat, lantern, and other dances, CSULB VSA’s TVDC continues to work hard to preserve our unique, beautiful traditions, while mixing in some youth and modern appeal, as Vietnamese-Americans. The purpose of this dance is to promote cultural awareness and appreciation for Vietnamese culture, and specifically, the Vietnamese hat dance, performed in the Vietnamese traditional dress, the Ao Yem, lesser known but just as beautiful to the Ao Dai.

This dance was performed at CSULB VSA’s Culture Night Show as well as CSULB‘s Inaugural Vietnamese Graduation Celebration.
